What is sin?

June 1, 2011

In today’s world it appears that sin is not a topic of discussion inside the church and outside.  Do you agree that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God? What is your definition of sin?

Deliverance From All Your Fears

September 7, 2010

Psalm 34:4 “I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.”

Being delivered from fear has truly been a blessing in my life.  Jesus showed me how the enemy wanted me to believe that I was not safe, protected and all alone. Satan is the accuser of the brotheren. When doors are left open to the demonic by permission of believing something to be true that is a lie causes a spiritual battle that can last for years.  If you find yourself in a place where you can’t seem to shake the oppression, nor can you stop believing the lie about an event that appeared to be true and real, the the above scripture and Jesus Christ will certainly bring about true freedom, healing  and deliverance in your life.

Our Heavenly Father, loves us so much. Will you allow him to deliver you from all your fears today?  Blessings will overtake you.

Romans 12:12 – Be joyful in hope, patient in afflictions and faithful in prayer.

We live in a world today where it appears things are really bad, but as a true believer in Christ Jesus the above scripture causes my heart to experience a way to stay focused on the truth. It is the truth that sets us free, therefore I will be joyful in hope, patient in afflictions and faithful in prayer.
Thank you Lord Jesus for helping me to stay focused on the real truth.

HUMILITY

Humility is not thinking less of yourself.  It is thinking of yourself less.

THANKFULNESS

Psalm 92:1-2 – It is good to say, “Thank You” to the Lord, to sing praises to the God who is above all gods. Every morning tell him, “Thank You for your kindness, and every evening rejoice in all his faithfulness. (NLT)

PRAYER

Father, we sing praises to you and with adoration we worship you for being the only true and living God.  You alone are worthy of praise, for you are the Creator of all things. Thank you, Lord for who you are. We will sing unto you; We will sing praises to you, because you are Lord.  In obedience, faith and trust we praise your name.  We praise you, Lord, according to your righteousness; We will sing praises to your name Lord.

Father, let our mouths be filled with praise, honor and thanksgiving every day.  We can never say thank you enough to parents, children, friends and leaders, and especially to you Lord.  Our desire is to make thanksgiving and praise an integral part of our daily life, which causes our attitude toward life to change.  We behold your power and your glory. Because of your love, our lips will glorify you.

Father, we will praise you as long as we live and in your name we will lift up our hands. With our mouth will we make known your faithfulness to all every generations.  It is such a good thing to give thanks to you today Father, and to sing praises to your name. We want to always show forth your loving kindness in the morning and your faithfulness every night.

Because, of who you are and all you’ve done for us, we are able to offer the sacrifice of praise to you continually, and it is our desire to do so.  It pleases us, Lord to be able to give you the fruit of our lips. Thank You, Lord for everything.

Trusting God

Romans 8:27-28

And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The Message bibles says “He knows us far better than we know ourselves…That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.”

As a believer we are not left to our own resources to cope with the problems of life. Even when we don’t know the right words to pray, the Holy Spirit prays with and for us, and God answers.

God works in “all things” not just isolated incidents – for our good. This does not mean that all that happens to us is good. Evil is prevalent in our world today, but God is able to turn every circumstance around for our long – range good. God is working in and through us to fulfill his purpose here on earth as it is in heaven.

PRAYER

Father, trusting you is often hard to do because we want to see instant gratification and satisfaction in our lives.  But Father you know us better than we know ourselves.  That is why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for you Lord is worked into something good. You don’t work in isolated incidents for us. You are always at work on behalf of those who love you and you keep your promises.

Father, You have redeemed us from our enemies. You have taken us as your own, and You are our Lord. You are a Father to us. You have delivered us from the past hurts, pain and disappointments that has held us in bondage and our minds are being transformed and renewed daily into the mind of Christ Jesus. We will no longer settle for the pain and hurt of the past, because where sin abounds, grace does much more abound.

You know when we get up in the morning. You know us when we lie down at night.  You even know the number of hairs on our head.

Father your ultimate goal is to make us like Christ.  So Father, we completely trust you by faith that you know what is best for our lives, You will keep your promises, you will help us with our problems, you will do the impossible when necessary. You are a faithful, loving and miracle working God and what is best for us is what You have planned for our lives. We thank you Father.

The Needs of Your Family

Joshua 24:15 – But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for your-selves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

The people had to decide whether they would obey the Lord,, who had proven his trustworthiness, or obey the local gods, which were only man-made idols. It’s easy to slip into a quiet rebellion – going about life in your own way. But the time comes when you have to choose who or what will control you. The choice is yours. Will it be God, your own limited personality, or another imperfect substitute? Once you have chosen to be controlled by God’s Spirit, all of us must reaffirm our choice every day.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, you are the one who sets the solitary into families, and you have promised to be a Father to the fatherless.  I pray for families today, Lord, that you would watch over their comings and goings and that underneath them they would always find themselves in your everlasting arms.

Bless families today Lord and keep them safe from all harm.  Plant your hedge of protection around them and let them always dwell in safety.  Thank you for blessing families with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Help them to remember that their home should be built on wisdom, and by understanding it will be established.  By knowledge all the chambers of their homes will be filled with precious and pleasant riches.  Thank You Lord.

Your Word, O Lord, declares that the home of the righteous will be filled with many treasures.  In times of wickedness, you have promised that the house of the righteous will stand.  Father we believe your promises for everyone’s home and family today.

Because we believe in your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we know that you have saved us all and we claim your promise today that you will save each household.  Thank you, Father, for all your abundant blessings in the lives of all families today.  In Jesus Name. Amen.

God is Love

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Many of us have had some type of love experience.  It may have been love for your mother or father, boyfriend or girlfriend, grandparents, aunt, uncle, sister or brother.

During the course of life we may have also had an experience where love was misrepresented.  We may have determined or chose to believe that love was manipulation, control or love was just simply withheld from us.

God’s love for us is not based on us doing something.  God just wants us to accept and receive His love.  When love has been misrepresented to us by someone withholding love God just simply says, “I know that you have been hurt, disappointed, saddened, sought others sources for love and satisfaction; but I am here every second of the day to walk you through the counterfeit love lane into the true love lane of life so that you can experience love in a way that only I can give to you.”

Today is the day that God wants to show you real true love.  Will you let him walk you through the true lover’s lane and show you how much he loves you?
